Hi,

I wanted to drop you a quick thank you for your investment of time and
energy.

I too was a fundamentalist who finally read the bible thoroughly (multiple
times). I was appalled at what I found. I read it ferociously while praying
for insight and wisdom. I was counseled to read the bible through the 'lens
of grace'. I really had a love for jesus in my heart. It was about eighteen
months ago when I finally new it was over. It was a great relief and a great
loss at the time. Slowly over time it is becoming an entirely new life for
me. A life with 'fewer' delusions. I still feel like religion is controlling
my life to some degree. Even though I am now an atheist, I spend much of my
time continuing to feed my deprogramming.

It helped me to see your story and wanted to let you know.

Take care,

JelloWasabi

Hey Watchdog team,

I have been reading your blog, and I agree with what you say in terms of WOTM theology and such. It is suffocating to say the least to I worked for WOTM /LW for about a year in the ministry office . I was hired to answer phones and read mail and generally be a Gopher carrying heavy camera equipment on shoots and making lunch reservations, traveling with the group... They didn't seem to care that I wasn't a Christian. I was not really rubbing elbows with "their public"and they were desperate to for labor. I quit because the Christian environment and tactics were annoying me beyond measure. Sort of started to feel the eyes of judgment on me and another non christian co-worker "gave her heart to Jesus"and had a little office party with tears and such...gag!! I gave it up and fled before I became a pod as well..LOL

Ray is a funky little tornado who just goes and goes and comes up with outrageous ideas, which are then put down a shredder and cut down to size- He is so full of "zeal" that he can at times really be bordering on hurtful and unkind to get his point across, I believe he means well but that damn religious fervor gets in the way. A little of Ray goes a long way at times. his religion to justify used to cover what I would call "simmering anger" toward non Christian's.

Todd is exactly what you get on the radio only more 80's stand up comic-loud and louder with jokes only Todd finds hilarious -he really does talk that all the time over pronouncing every other word. uses big words and repeating arguments over and over. Annoying

I really liked Kirk though, Kirk is the voice of logic at WOTM kirk has the sincere kindness and compassion that Ray lack's He pulls control over Ray on the TV show and does what is best. Ray could embarrass them beyond words with some of his ideas to draw attention to the ministry I look to Kirk to leave WOTM in the near future as he has serious family problems and spends less and less time on Ray's crusade to take over the world.

Hi, I learned of your site through the Rational Response Squad and I like it a lot. I've been speaking out about the absurdity of Comfort and Cameron for quite a while, and it's nice to see someone else knocking down their silly arguments. I actually took the time to refute the majority of their claims on their Evidence Bible. I have the review on my blog in case you're interested. I will definitely get the word out about your blog.

Keep up the good work !

Ken
